Just a little check-in after Christmas. I suppose it could be worse. I rolled over a few Christmas presents on to two credit cards, even though I didn't go anywhere and the only money I spent ON Christmas was for a $10 yoga class and a treat-yourself hot bar meal from Whole Foods for $12.
I had to spend $265 on salvaging and then reconstructing my Vespa title and registration because after an accident a year ago, Progressive scrapped the bike and I had "purchase it back" from them. I didn't realize that was what I was doing. So it flagged my title when I went to renew my registration as "salvage." Long story to say, that I doubt I spent more than $500 total on Christmas gifts, and had I not had this expensive problem to clear up, I might not have had to use the cards.
So this week I'm laying low, dogsitting, and running Uber Eats when it isn't raining out. That should be at least an extra $180. I should be just under $35K by the first week of 2019.
